Sana and Imran chose Camellia Gardens for the first part of their pre-wedding shoot. Having lived near the gardens my whole life, I’ve never thought of doing a pre-wedding shoot there (I mainly take my kids there to chase the ducks around!). However as I walked through the gardens with photography in mind, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of greenery and beautiful floral colours and pockets of light to use. It was so easy to photograph Sana and Imran; they had a relaxed ease with one another and required almost no prompting, simply enjoying the moment and their time with each other.
For part two of their shoot, we drove to Cronulla (my home town!) and trudged through what seemed like kilometres of sand (uphill, too), but the view of the sand dunes when we got to the top just as the sun was setting made it all worthwhile. Sana’s love (obsession?) with Disney was pretty obvious, and it was very touching to see how much Imran indulged her (including spoiling her with a trip to Tokyo Disneyland). They’re such a sweet and humble couple and I can’t wait to photograph their Muslim wedding next month.
Sana’s soft and peachy hair and make-up look was flawlessly created by Fareha.
